We hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

2008 has already offered a fantastic opportunity for us be involved with some charity work for children with severe autism. A weekend stay at CRAVEN HOUSE was donated and helped raise £850.

We're very pleased to have so many of you returning to us in the coming months. The summer is hotting up so if you're thinking about booking with us, please do so as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

• JULY 8-13 Hampton Court Palace plays host to the sumptuous Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show. This spectacle is the largest of its kind in the world and for six days in July, thousands of gardening fans can see, smell and touch an abundance of floral delights.

• JUNE 3-21 Hampton Court Palace Festival presents a .great series of musical events taking place during summer eveings in June. The Palace comes alive with a variety of world-class artists performing in the intimate open-air .setting of the Base Court.

• RACING Kempton park and Sandown at Esher, just 5 miles from Craven House, play host to a range of daytime and evening racing events throughout the summer.

• Twickenham Rugby Stadium events include Emirates Airline London Sevens Rugby in MAY and BON JOVI in JUNE.

• Richmond and Kingston have plenty of fun for all the family including the Richmond May Fair in MAY, Madam Butterfly in MAY and the Canbury Bandstand Concerts Sunday afternoons all of JUNE - SEPT.

• OPENS APRIL The Kew Royal Botanical Gardens NEW Shirley Sherwood Gallery. This will be the first gallery in the world dedicated to botanical art.
